About Laurel Hub Analytics
A small retention visualization studio in Sokcho, Gangwon-do — built for subscription businesses that need charts executives can read, not another login screen.
Registered business
Laurel Hub Analytics Co., Ltd. (등록 상호: Laurel Hub Analytics) is the official registered business name under which all engagements are contracted and invoiced.
The company was established in 2017 when founder Kwon Minho left a Seoul fintech analytics team to focus exclusively on retention charting for subscription companies. Early clients were regional meal-kit and magazine subscriptions; the studio now serves B2B SaaS, curated boxes, and membership organizations across Korea and remote international clients.
Origin
Kwon started Laurel Hub after repeatedly watching strong subscription products fail board reviews because the retention slides used inconsistent cohort labels and mixed voluntary with involuntary churn. The studio name references the laurel wreaths on antique survey instruments in his collection — a reminder that measurement should be precise and readable.
We opened our Sokcho office in 2019, drawn by the quiet and the proximity to clients in Gangwon tourism memberships and coastal food subscriptions. The address has remained unchanged since.
Team
Kwon Minho
Twelve years in subscription analytics, formerly at a Seoul billing analytics firm. Leads atlas production and board walkthroughs.
Hana Jeong
Specializes in multi-plan cohort cuts and churn reason taxonomies. Previously a customer success analyst at a streaming membership service.
David Okonkwo
Builds pre-renewal behavioral profiles and survival curves for box subscriptions. Joined Laurel Hub in 2021.
Working approach
We work from exports you provide — we do not require API access to your billing system. Every chart is annotated by hand, reviewed internally twice, and delivered with a live walkthrough so your team knows how to read it six months later.
We decline engagements where the data cannot support the requested segmentation. That honesty saves both sides weeks of rework.
Values
- Legibility over complexity. A chart that needs a glossary has failed.
- Definitions before percentages. We reconcile cohort labels before plotting a single line.
- Artifacts you keep. PDF, editable source files, and written methodology notes — yours after delivery.
